Ouster's core product line consists of two lidar families: the OS series (rotating/scanning sensors) and the DF series (true solid-state flash sensors). OS sensors span multiple variants — OS0, OS1, OS2, and OS Plus — differentiated by field of view, range, and resolution, serving applications from close-range warehouse robotics to long-range automotive perception. The DF platform targets use cases requiring a compact, no-moving-parts form factor, including drones, fixed infrastructure, and embedded automotive systems. Ouster's architectural differentiation centers on CMOS-based digital signal processing at the pixel level, which the company argues yields higher resolution, more consistent performance across environmental conditions, and lower long-term manufacturing cost curves relative to analog designs.¹

Above the hardware layer, Ouster has built two commercial AI software products. Ouster Gemini is a perception platform for fixed-infrastructure applications including logistics yard management, perimeter security, and crowd analytics. Ouster BlueCity is a traffic-intelligence solution targeting signalized intersections, delivering real-time vehicle and pedestrian detection, signal actuation, and safety analytics. As of Q4 2025, Gemini and BlueCity were active across more than 1,200 sites spanning over 65 million square feet of roadways and facilities globally.¹¹ Software-attached bookings more than doubled in FY2025 and represented over 15% of sensors shipped, up over 120% year-over-year.¹¹

In FY2025, Ouster released four new versions of its SDK, including on-sensor 3D zone monitoring (the first perception logic embedded directly in a digital lidar) and real-time localization enabling centimeter-level asset tracking without external infrastructure.¹¹ The company's most significant hardware investment is in two custom silicon programs: the L4 chip (for the next-generation OS platform) and the Chronos chip (for the DF flash platform). Management has stated these chips are expected to more than double the current addressable market when commercialized, though specific release dates have not been disclosed.¹² The StereoLabs acquisition added the ZED camera series, NVIDIA Jetson Orin-based AI compute, and proprietary neural depth models. The ZED X Nano, a wrist-mount stereo camera for robotic manipulation, launched in April 2026 as the first product release under the combined company.²¹
