Stock Market This Week: TSLA Drives Rally, GOOGL Beats, INTC Misses
Bulls win. The NDX rallied more than 6% this week while the SPX gained more than 4% off positive tariff headlines from the Trump administration. Tesla (TSLA) closed the week as one of the SPX's top performers despite an earnings miss.

Intel CFO says tariffs increase chance for economic slowdown, recession getting likelier
Intel CFO David Zinsner said President Donald Trump's tariffs and retaliation from other countries has increased the likelihood of a recession. Intel reported better-than-expected first-quarter results, partially because some customers stockpiled chips ahead of tariffs, the company said.

INTC Financials "Quite Dire," Tech Turnaround Needed
Intel (INTC) reported high-single digit growth in its foundry and data center businesses, but George Tsilis thinks the company needs much more for a clean turnaround. A wide range in 2Q revenue guidance is a major concern to George, who points out the company's $50 billion debt.

INTC "Very Much" Under Pressure: Foundry & 2Q Uncertainty Hits Stock
J.D. Durkin points to guidance as the culprit for today's selling action in Intel (INTC). He says new CEO Lip-Bu Tan's commentary on upward momentum wasn't enough to win investors over with uncertainties lingering over its foundry business and 2Q figures.

Stocks open mixed, Alphabet Q1 earnings, Intel's weak outlook
Morning Brief hosts Madison Mills and Brad Smith discuss market actions and some top stories on April 25, 2025. Laffer Tengler Investments CEO and CIO Nancy Tengler joins the show to discuss Alphabet's earnings results and some of her top stock picks.

Intel shares tumble as weak guidance, turnaround doubts weigh on outlook
Shares of Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC, ETR:INL) lost nearly 7.3% on Friday after the chipmaker offered a disappointing revenue outlook for the second quarter, triggering a flurry of analyst downgrades and warnings about the company's multi-year turnaround. Despite beating expectations for the first quarter, Intel forecast second-quarter revenue of $11.8 billion, falling short of analysts' estimates and raising fresh concerns over macroeconomic uncertainty, tariff headwinds, and persistent margin pressure.

Intel: A New Hope
Intel Corporation's Q1 2025 earnings beat expectations, but mixed results and a weak Q2 outlook suggest a longer turnaround under the new leadership of CEO Lip-Bu Tan. Despite recent struggles, Intel's data center and AI segments showed growth, and the company is streamlining operations to regain its engineering prowess. The current INTC stock pullback into the high teens may be the last chance to buy shares cheaply, as we believe in Lip-Bu Tan's vision.

Dow wobbles at the open as rally stalls, Intel weighs on Nasdaq
9:52am: Stocks wobble US markets opened lower Friday, as investors took a cautious step back after a strong three-day rally. All three major indexes dipped out of the gate: the Dow fell 187 points, or 0.5%, to 39,907; the S&P 500 lost 13 points, or 0.2%, to 5,471; and the Nasdaq edged down 23 points, or 0.1%, to 17,143.

GOOGL, INTC Earnings: A Tale of Two Tech Stories
Jenny Horne dives into Alphabet (GOOGL) earnings after the tech giant reported an earnings beat and strong growth in its Google Cloud segment. Then, she turns her attention to Intel (INTC) as shares waver after the company's guidance comes in below estimates.

Intel's turnaround deemed a ‘herculean task' — so analysts say to avoid the stock
Intel Corp. Chief Executive Lip-Bu Tan seems to be making interesting moves early in his tenure, but that doesn't mean he'll achieve success easily. The company has missed out on the artificial-intelligence wave and fallen behind with its technology.

Intel: The Worse The Outlook, The Easier The Beat - Reiterating Buy
Intel reported Q2 2025 earnings, and they were NOT good, but didn't change the fact that INTC is a value pick under $20 and can now more easily outperform. Outlook for Q2 trails estimates and gross margins are expected to contract; investors were hoping for more from Tan's first quarter on the throne. It's not Tan's fault; it's tariffs and a lot of catch-up in order for Intel in highly competitive in the PC and data centers markets.

Intel layoffs: new CEO confirms job cuts. INTC stock sinks after earnings
Yesterday was an eventful day for shareholders and employees of Intel Corp. The American chipmaker reported its Q1 2025 results while its new CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, confirmed earlier reports that Intel would be laying off employees. Here's what you need to know about those layoffs and the latest movement in Intel's stock price.

Intel Will Get Worse Before It Gets Better
Intel's earnings for Q1 2025 were announced, and INTC stock sold off. This is because the guidance offered was weak, and revised down from previous expectations. However, there are other metrics in which Intel was impressive, and that management is making positive progress towards its goals.

SemiAnalysis: Intel-TSMC collaboration may be the fastest way to fulfill Trump's chip ambitions
Dylan Patel of SemiAnalysis says the U.S. administration 'wants fabs now', and as Intel scales back on capex, this can be fulfilled through TSMC filling out Intel's Ohio plant. He also discusses Intel's new leadership and how Lip Bu Tan could help to 'fix' Intel.

Intel's Q1 numbers impress, but Washington looms large
Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC, ETR:INL) delivered a much-needed boost to investor confidence with a better-than-expected first quarter. Revenues came in at $12.7 billion, well ahead of forecasts, and earnings per share reached $0.13, a clear beat on the $0.01 analysts had pencilled in.
