Top 3 Utilities Stocks Powering Up as Recession Fears Rise
Utilities stocks—those companies providing essential water, gas, electricity, and similar services—are a haven for investors when other sectors become too risky. The reasoning behind this is that there will always be relatively consistent demand for utilities services, even when the broader market is struggling.

Vistra's Deep Selloff Is Well Warranted - Observe 200-Day Moving Averages
Vistra's deep selloff has occurred as expected, attributed to its increasingly expensive valuations and overly stretched upward momentum in 2024. Thanks to the -30% drop, the utility company finally looks a lot more compelling, significantly aided by the robust FY2024 performance and reiterated FY2025/2026 guidance. If anything, market sentiments around generative AI and data center capex are likely to revert to optimism, attributed to the durability of hyperscalers' spending trends ahead.

Vistra: Stay Long, Key Drivers Intact
Vistra has sold off on fears that the AI/Data Center demand may evaporate, which is one of three demand drivers. VST's 2026 "guidance" may be a communication error; potential high-impact events in 2025 could materially change the outlook. Valuation points to a US$175 YE25 price target at 13x P/cash earnings on 10% 3yr growth.

Wall Street Bulls Look Optimistic About Vistra (VST): Should You Buy?
Investors often turn to recommendations made by Wall Street analysts before making a Buy, Sell, or Hold decision about a stock. While media reports about rating changes by these brokerage-firm employed (or sell-side) analysts often affect a stock's price, do they really matter?

Nuclear Stocks Surged Last Year. Are They A Buy Amid DeepSeek Concerns With Earnings Upcoming?
Nuclear energy stocks spent much of 2024 running at the top of the S&P 500. Constellation Energy (CEG), Vistra (VST) and other new nuclear-focused companies rode a wave of excitement as Big Tech scrambled to find the electricity needed to power its artificial intelligence ambitions.

5 Closed-End Fund Buys (And A Sell) In The Month Of January 2025
The market had a solid two years back to back, and to kick off 2025, January also saw some of that same upside momentum continue. There was some recent volatility in the market after DeepSeek and tariffs were announced; particularly, NVDA from the Mag 7 group has been sliding. That said, every month, I put some additional capital to work to help grow my cash flow over the long term, and January 2025 was no different.

Sleep Like A King, Earn Like A Pro: 2 Big Dividend Ideas For Income And Wealth
I once thought holding cash for a market crash was smart, but waiting for crashes is a risky game. Inflation devalues cash much faster than investing. Market timing is tough. Predicting corrections consistently is nearly impossible, and staying invested can prevent the damage inflation causes to your purchasing power. Instead of waiting for the "perfect" moment, I focus on consistent investing in resilient infrastructure and public real estate that outperforms the market.
